Medically Induced Trauma Support Services (MITSS) is a non-profit organization whose mission is “To Support Healing and Restore Hope” to those patients, family members, and clinicians who have been impacted by a medical error or an adverse medical event.  By supporting the work of MITSS, organizations and individuals can further demonstrate their strong commitment to patient safety and quality.

The Annual Dinner is MITSS’s single major fundraising event of the year.  Proceeds from the event will be used to fund the wide range of services that we offer including:  support groups for patients, families, and clinicians; individual counseling; phone support and referral assistance.  We work with healthcare organizations to assist them in setting up an internal process for supporting their clinicians.  We are committed to developing new and innovative ways of fostering open and honest dialogue with everyone we serve, and we will continue to participate in and host educational forums (locally, nationally, and internationally) in an effort to get our important message out.
